On 8th November 2014, 50 volunteers from SSV attended anti-dengue campaign organized by MPSJ and contributed to the community in SS17. There were also other volunteers from Skuad Denggi JKP (Jawatan Kuasa Penduduk) 1, 2 & 3, residents of SS17 as group leaders and First Bapist Church.
Each group is assigned with a resident, an officer from Jabatan Kesihatan MPSJ. We are required to carry out dengue inspection from house to house by asking for permission from the house owner to enter their house compounds. We distributed flyers and abate (larvae-killer) to the residents. We also inspected the areas at the back lanes. Notes were taken down if breeding spots or potential breeding spots were found in the housing area.

On 16th November 2014, SSV volunteers also did the same in SS14. There were also volunteers from Balai Polis SS17, Sek. Men. Subang Jaya, Subang Jaya Medical Centre & Nursing School, Laugh Charity as well as INTI College. Together, we searched and destroyed mosquitoes breeding spots.
Our volunteers have done great responsibilities! Anti-dengue squad rocks! It was indeed an excited event for volunteers, let’s join again next time!
