Dengue Awareness Campaign @ PJS 9
The Rotaract Club of Sunway University and The Rotaract Club of Kuala Lumpur were collaborating with Majlis Pembandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ) to eradicate the dengue menace in PJS 9 on 1st November 2014. The project involved participation of both students and general public in raising awareness of dengue and promoting prevention against the disease.
In the morning, community volunteerism which is called ‘gotong-royong’ in Malay was held in PJS 9. Hence, students of Sunway University together with members of Sun-U Rotaract Club walked to the destination.
After welcoming address and briefing, guests, residents of PJS 9 and students of Sunway University were allocated to different areas for cleaning up purposes.
There was also free medical screening conducted by Sunway Medical Centre where Sunway Student Volunteers also contributed manpower.

The event was published in different newspapers which is a result that make us proud! We hope that the public will be aware of dengue through this campaign and do their best to prevent it.
