World Play Day (WPD) is an international event highlighting the essence of play over 25 countries worldwide. It was initiated by and is being actively promoted by the International Toy Library Association (ITLA). WPD is a day when children and adults do what they want to do and it is also a time to relax and to interact with one another. WPD envisioned promoting the healthy growth of each other in simple, self-motivated activities of their own choice.
This year, the World Play Day Malaysia was celebrated with children from refugee settlements, migrant communities, local poor communities, welfare homes, children with special needs and children living with HIV/AIDS at the Migrant Ministry Klang (MMK) Malaysia. SSV is really honoured to have been invited by Malaysian Care to volunteer at this meaningful event two consecutive years. The volunteers assisted on the game stations and food stalls, setting up and cleaning up of premises.
SSV greatly appreciate the efforts of every volunteers in helping out this event. Thus, we hope we can bring more joy to the children around the world.
